Terrebonne projects to get oil spill money

Terrebonne Parish has decided to use the $9.5 million it was awarded as part of the BP oil spill settlement to improve drainage and roads and help finance a new sports complex.

Agencies in the parish were awarded $21.5 million. The parish government and the Terrebonne Parish School District each received $9.5 million, which represented the bulk of the money awarded in the parish.
